Story

I'm shaving ALL my hair off to raise money for the Swaffham and Litcham home hospice and to make two wigs for the Little Princess Trust.

This is the third time and the last time I have had my head shaved for charity. The hair will be going to the Little Princess Trust and in a slight change to the previous events the cash raised will be going to the Swaffham & Litcham Home Hospice.

The Little Princess Trust make wigs for victims of childhood cancer whose families and carers are unable to afford costly wigs.

The Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice provide support for people and their carers in the local area with life limiting or terminal illnesses. Through home visits, day care and hospital transport. They have a funding shortfall of around £100k a year and need help to keep up the great service they do.

For those of you who aren't aware of my circumstances, my mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Throughout her diagnosis, treatment and aftercare the Swaffham & Llitcham Home Hospice were instrumental in providing practical and emotional support throughout her treatment.

For around a month they drove her daily to and from her radiotherapy appointments. Driving us over 1000 miles in the process. Saving us thousands of pounds at one of the most difficult times in our lives.

I would like to give them something back to show my gratitude.

I will be hosting the event on Saturday 10th August at The Blue Lion Pub (North Pickenham) https://www.facebook.com/thebluelionpub/

My haircut will be performed by Karen of Karen's Cuts.

I will be not be the only one having my head shaved that day you will also find Biker Dave shaving his head too. If anyone else wishes to join in you are more than welcome to do so. Dave will be donating his funds to the North Pickenham community project.

You can donate cash on the night or via our just giving page:

This is an issue that affects all of us at some point in our lives and I hope you can make a contribution to this incredibly worthy cause.

Many thanks

Garry
