Story
This is for mum, who passed away on 1st June 2010 in the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow. The care and attention she received from the nurses and doctors at the Hospice was outstanding and not only helped her but gave respite to myself and my dad during a really difficult time. Through their care they also found a way to help us take mum home for a while in the late stages of her illness so she could enjoy life with her family and friends. This was very important for her and something we can look back on with happiness.
I'm running the MHFS 10k at Bellahouston Park on 20th June in memory of mum. My target time is 42 minutes. Any support you can give to spur me on my way (especially for the long drags in the middle of the 10k) would be gratefully received. Marie Curie Cancer Care relies on donations to carry out its wonderful work and the Big Build Project at the Glasgow Hospice is still short of its target, so your donation will go to help support the patients and families affected by long-term illness.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
