Story

Last Update - Sunday September 19th 2010!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

You may know GOC has a hereditary retinal eye disease (Choroideremia or CHM), is already officially "Visually Impaired" and will eventually completely lose his sight.  Fortunately he is lucky to be supported both emotionally and financially by a fantastic group of caring family, friends and employers (WestLB).   However not everyone is so lucky and the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind) does a fantastic job in helping blind people (and their families and friends) to cope and adjust, building confidence to function and grow again.  Continuing investment into research for accurate diagnosis and cures is also essential and provides some hope, if not always for this generation but for those who follow.  Just take a few seconds, close your eyes and imagine what it feels like to know you will not see anything ever, again.  Please help the RNIB to continue helping those who don't need to imagine. This is a fantastic cause and we are delighted to be able to help the RNIB.
