Every year we choose a charity to support in some way.  In 2020, we were blown away by the amazing Lorraine Lewis and the charity that she cofounded with her husband, Lee, The Lewis Foundation.  The charity, which relies solely on donations, delivers gifts to adult cancer patients.  In addition to holding down full-time jobs, Lorraine, Lee and their amazing team of volunteers deliver over 3,000 gifts to 9 hospitals in the Midlands every month!

So, this year, our team of 7, plus Daisy, pledged to walk around the globe in 52 weeks! According to google, it takes 50,000,000 steps to circumnavigate the globe.  However, the route we have chosen is not 'as the crow flies' so as a team, we need to walk an average of 500 miles (1,000,000 steps) a week for 52 weeks!! In order to make this challenge remotely doable, the Leadership Team have roped in their partners to make it a team of 10, giving an average of 50 miles a week each!

To support us on this epic adventure, we would like you to sponsor us as little, or as much as you like to help us smash our fundraising target of £1,914.  If you are a company, you can sponsor one of our destinations for just £30!  Once you have donated,  email info@gatewayhr.com with your chosen destination.  When we arrive there, we will give your company the big shout out you rightly deserve!  We will keep the list as up to date as we can to avoid destination disappointment :) .

We will be keeping everyone updated of our progress throughout the year.  Each destination will be celebrated in an appropriately themed way - some of which is sure to be cringe-worthy! Plus, if we manage to get our timings right, our arrival in Tokyo will feature a live stream by Graham from Tokyo itself - we may even manage to bag ourselves a Paralympic athlete too!
