Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
For years now I have always wanted to push myself that little bit further and for various reasons have never actually taken the plunge to challenge myself.
As you may know Rich is an uber keen cyclist and after being bullied (yes real life grown up bullying) I cycled the 20 miles from Battersea to The Excel Centre to watch the London Triathlon. I have to say I actually really enjoyed it despite being on a boys bike with a devil saddle!
So I've been thinking once again what can I do that's a challenge (nothing too extreme mind) but also do-able. Well what better than to continue my new found love of cycling than the London to Paris ride.
Rich being the doting husband that he is has agreed to come along with me. So we've registered and training is now under way for the big event in July 2010.
I work for our chosen charity - The Adolescent and Children's Trust. Having been with them now for over 6 months and seeing first hand what great work they do, I'm even more compelled to get of my buttocks and do something for them that's from me personally.
We have both been very fortunate to have been bought up in stable and loving family homes and know that our parents are there to help and guide us when we need it. Unfortunately the children and young people TACT look after don't have such luxuries.
Rich and I shall be fundraising together, so if you would like to sponsor me and or Rich you can do so on this page.
Any donation you can give small or large will be very gratefully received and we know will go straight to giving the young people in TACT's care brighter futures.
