Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of our beautiful dad to Mandy and Coleen, George Dowler, loving husband to Pamela and grandad to Grant, Chloe, Tom and Ethan.
Sadly dad suffered a cerebellar stroke in March of this year and unfortunately due to its severity there was no cure and dad aged 79 years passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 10th July surrounded by his family.
Dad was a true gentleman and touched the lives of many. He was such a caring kind man and would help anyone. He was always full of life and loved spending every opportunity with his family and friends whether at home or at parties. Dad touched so many peoples lives and will be deeply missed by everyone.
Dad had two charities that was close to his heart.
"The Royal Artillery" which is a charitable fund that financially supports all officers and soldiers and their dependants whether serving or retired, widowed or divorced who are in need.
Dad served in The Royal Artillery as a Gunner from 23/09/1958-22/09/1964 when he transferred to the Army Reserves for a further six years and then discharged on 22/09/1970 and;
"Dial-A-Dream" is a charity that make the Dreams of children aged between 3 and 18 years, suffering from a diagnosed life limiting and life threatening illness, become a reality.
