Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
UCLH Charitable Foundation - to Bike Ride starting Wednesday July 14th 2010I started my chemotherapy at UCLH on Friday (St George's Day) and have some months ahead of treatment. You may also know that I also had Photodynamic Therapy - I was only the 8th person in the world to have this trial. The trial was very successful and beneficial to me but not a cure hence the chemotherapy. My medical team have asked me as a patient to join them on this cycle ride - I won't be short of doctors and nurses! I love my cycling so jumped at the opportunity - apparently the first day to Dover is one of the hardest so I'll be training hard - all in all about 75 miles a day.
Please can you help sponsor me and raise valuable funds for the new UCLH Cancer Centre. With one in three people affected by cancer, every day lives are changed forever by this disease which indiscriminately alters the futures of people everywhere. UCLH is building one of the top cancer centres in . The cancer centre, which will open in 2012, will be a state-of-the-art building, with each floor designed around the needs of patients with different cancers. UCLH Charitable Foundation has been tasked with raising £30 million of the £100 million needed to make this building a reality. Your efforts will make a difference. Currently I visit an ancient building where loads of people go daily for doctors surgeries, blood tests, chemo...
