Story
Hi everyone
On the 8th November my Aunty Sam challenged me to join her in running 5k a day through lockdown. We're now over a week in to the challenge and we thought we would take this opportunity to raise money for the incredible Katie Thorburn Foundation.
The Foundation was set up by our amazingly inspiring friend, Katie, in 2014 to raise money for 4 charities that helped her whilst she was ill (Clic Sargent, Macmillan, The Little Princess Trust and When You Wish Upon a Star). The money raised from this event in particular will go to Clic Sargent, a charity that provides vital care and support to young people and their families whilst battling cancer. It will be a privilige to run on behalf of both Katie and this amazing charity.
Aunty Sam will be finishing on the 2nd December and, as I started 3 days late, I'll finish on the 5th December, a perfect time for us to relax by endulging in excessive amounts of christmas goodies and tipples. As the grim winter weather begins to set in, this challenge will only get harder, so any donations would be great motivation to keep us running. More importantly, it would mean so much to see Katie's Foundation continue to grow.
We have started with a low goal as, in the least lockdown-cliche way possible, we know times are strange for people at the moment. So we will appreciate any amount people can give.
140k in 28 days... let's gooo!
