This is just to let you know that Ali and I have safely returned from Tanzania. We are delighted to be able to tell you we reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro on Sunday 8:10 am after 7 days of trekking. 

Your messages of support and encouragement really helped us to reach the summit of the highest free standing mountain in the world. 

Our two charities are so grateful for your generosity and we're nudging closer to our target of  £10,000 each. If anyone would like to donate the site will be open until november thank you once again.

Ali and I are climbing Kilimanjaro on the 14th August to raise money for two charities that we both support: The Afghan Connection and The Rainbow Trust. As part of our preparation for this challenge we are climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK in July.

We are raising funds for The Hampshire branch of The Rainbow Trust. This wonderful charity funds Carers who give emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Founded in 1986 it helps around 1,000 families throughout the country. Support is offered from diagnosis, through treatment and should a family become bereaved, Rainbow Trust continues to support them for as long as they are needed.  

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure gift aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a uk taxpayer.
