Perennial is the only charity helping people in horticulture and their families when faced with a life changing event, unexpected crisis or overwhelming challenge with free and confidential advice and support.

Story

Dear all !

About 2 ½ months ago I decided to start the year off a little differently. It certainly has been different  - very busy but all good fun.  Unfortunately I am still waiting for the call from Dancing on Ice, but in the meantime I have been pressganged into the ‘Grubby Gardeners Team’ running a12km full blooded assault course on the 5 April (https://www.dirtydozenraces.com) . This is in aid of Perennial, a national charity founded in 1839, which provides free confidential advice, support and financial assistance to people of all ages working in or retired from horticulture.

Their vision and aim is to be the first port of call in times of need for all those who are working in, or have worked in horticulture.  This means providing money and services, and by ensuring people get the right help from the appropriate Government departments and public and private organisations that are there to assist.

I would be very very grateful for any support you could give through http://www.justgiving.com/Gerald-Abrahams1 or even via text ! Text  ‘GEZA74’  & ‘the amount’ to the number 70070 !! Anything would be great.

In the meantime I will carry on with my special training regime of working and walking the dog.

Very best wishes

Gerald
