My first contact with the Butterwick was 25 years ago when they provided day care support to my Grandma.Thereafter having trained as a doctor, and working as a GP in Cleveland, they provide support to many of my patients. I had the opportunity of spending a week there training on a palliative care course. The dedication and compassion of the staff providing holistic care for the whole family is inspiring.

Running the Great North Run gives me and my  supporters an opportunity to give something back.
