My name is Glen Taylor and in 2007 i was given 6 months to live unless a suitable donor could be found. I was in desperate need of a double Transplant, Kidney and Pancreas. It is very difficult to get a single Transplant and more often then not the Transplant doesnt arrive in time, So i thought my chances of getting a Double Transplant were slim and i was facing death. Not nice. I was lucky, in july 2007 I was called in to be told a suitable donor had been found and i had a chance. Without doubt i was just weeks away from death with my organs failing very quickly. My Transplant took place on July 12th 2007 at Addenbrookes hospital Cambridge and was a success. I had been given my life back. From that moment on i made a promise to myself and to my unknown donor to stay fit and give my new organs the best chance possible to give me a new and happy life. It was while i was in hospital i discovered TSUK a charity that gives Tranplant patients the chance to get together and compete at all different sports. As the name suggests this is a charity and we need to raise our own funds to go compete. I need funds to go to Bath for the British Transplant games and the European Transplant games in Sweden. I have fought back from near death to full fitness so having these chances are a dream come true. Please help me get to these fantastic sporting events. TSUK are a charity and organise many events for Transplant patients in the United Kingdom. Without help and sponsership Charities like TSUK would not be able to do the fantastic work they do.
