27/10/14 UPDATE: 

We did it!! It was ridiculously tough, probably hardest thing I have done but thanks to my brilliant team mates (The Tough Brothers!) and general comradery at the event we managed to run the full 12 miles and completed all 24 obstacles in around 2.5hrs. Obviously we celebrated afterwards and had a night out in Southampton... a good few beers helped to numb the pain. Felt like I had been run over by a tank yesterday but on the mend now... smashed the fund raising target in just 2 weeks so it was well worth the pain! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED, IT MEANS A LOT! X

I am taking part in Tough Mudder London South on 25th of October with friends (Tony Childs and Micky Berwick). For those who don't know - Tough Mudder its a gruelling 12 mile run over a muddy obstacle course. It's a team event because of the level of difficulty is such that you need friends to help you through it. It's like an army style obstacle course involving confined space tunnels full of water, running through electrically charged wires, swimming through ice cold muddy water, climbing huge muddy slopes, etc, etc. 

I know its a bit short notice to start raising money for it now with only two weeks to go, but I entered late and it seems silly to go through something so tough without trying to raise some money for a great cause such as Macmillan.

Although I visit the gym regular, I like my beer and a curry too much so I am not exactly an athlete! I also have never done anything like this before. Therefore, please help make the pain worth while and DIG DEEP for a great cause!!
