Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are entering the Bristol dragon boat race (organised by Bristol Breakfast Rotary) again to raise money this year for "the Station" - a £5.75m project to provide space and opportunity for young people to get involved with activities such as sports, drama, music, dance and fitness and the arts. Located in central Bristol, the Station will provide performance space, dance and fitness studios, arts workshops and radio and media editing studios as well as chill out and social areas. It will provide wonderful opportunites for all young people, including those who could not otherwise hope to experience them. It is a very worthy cause and we ask you to give generously.

Last year was Gregg Latchams' first adventure on the dragon boat. We came 14th out of 28 - so not bad for our first attempt! - but we aim to do better this year. Do come along and cheer us on. The event is on Sunday 13 June on the harbourside near the Cottage pub. You won't miss us in our bright yellow wigs - see embarrassing photo attached!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Thank you!!
