Golden Square shopping centre has chosen St Rocco’s Hospice as its charity of the year and aims to raise £125K for the cause by September 2011. We are using this justgiving page as just one way you can donate to this worthy cause.

Golden Square will be working in partnership with the charity on a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to help raise funds to develop a Hospice Outreach Service in the community where you can make a difference.

St Rocco’s Hospice has been established in Warrington for 25 years providing specialist care for patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. It is currently experiencing an incredible strain on in-patient services – either from patients who want to be admitted to the hospice but cannot come due to lack of beds or from those who wish to spend their last days at home but lack the specialist support to do so.

The Hospice Outreach Service will involve specialist nurses from St Rocco’s caring for patients in their own homes, either at the end of life or as a night sitting service offering family support.  You can help Golden Square raise the funds needed to run the basic level Outreach service for one year whilst the service establishes itself - and make a difference to people's lives across Warrington.
