I’ve been a trustee at Your Place since 2019 and have seen first hand the tireless work this charity does to alleviate and end homelessness.

Newham, where it is based, has the highest rate of homelessness in the UK  - a staggering 1 in 21 residents of the borough.

Your Place is the biggest provider of safe spaces in Newham for those experiencing homelessness.   

At Your Place, homelessness is solved one person at a time. It’s a place where that person is seen and heard, their needs understood and their onward journey to independence supported in a way that works for them. It’s a place to call their own, while they recover and rebuild. A compassionate community with a caring team around them, offering individual help with health, education and employment. How this happens — how they get back on their feet and reach a better place — is up to them. It’s their place for the time they need.
