Story

Ho Ho Ho. At last I have found a Charity Event I am built for.

I and hundreds of others will be running around Crawley dressed as Santa Claus to raise money for Chestnut Tree Hospice.

I have been in secret training for the last 25 years and now have the physique to do my Santa Suit justice. It has not been easy! Please help me make it all worthwhile. Barclays have also agreed to match my sponsorship £4£ so the more you give - the more they have to give!

Chestnut Tree House is a very special place and the only children’s hospice in Sussex.  They help children with life-limiting illnesses and their families across the whole of Sussex.  Sometimes children stay at the house, with or without their families, and at other times the Hospice team go to their homes and provide the care that is needed there.

Chestnut Tree House currently cares for over 210 families in Sussex.  Families are never charged for their care.

It costs over £2 million each year to provide their service yet they only receive 10% of their costs through government funding and so rely heavily on the support of our local community.

That’s why Santas on the Run is so important to me. Christmas is all about putting smiles on children's faces. By sponsoring me you can help put smiles on the kids who need it the most.

About the charity

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.
