Story
Hey Everyone,
About 2 years ago my family was hit hard by my Aunt being diagnosed with Terminal Cancer. It happened very suddenly and it became a very anxious time for all the family, especially her husband and 2 daughters while they waited to see how she responded to treatment. She fought against the cancer with great determination, but sadly after a brave fight she succumbed to the disease.
So to the reason I’m running the Edinburgh Marathon. Firstly, I'm doing it in memory of my Aunt because she was a fantastic person and brilliant mother and I hope that it will help people remember her for those qualities. Secondly, I want to raise awareness of Macmillan Cancer Relief and all the fantastic work they do for cancer sufferers and their families alike.
All your sponsorship will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Relief who provide an invaluable service to those suffering from cancer by providing anything from Practical Help to Financial Assistance. If you want to know more about the charity go to: http://www.macmillan.org.uk
