The Shepperton Skydive...did we do it?
OF COURSE WE DID! Despite the nerves (yes, there were one or two!), I am pleased and very proud to say that we all completed the 10,000 skydive for our charity, Whizz-Kidz and that we are now all safely back on dry land! Without doubt it was the scariest, most adrenalin pumped experience we have ever done but as everyone had been so generous with their support, we weren’t going to let you or the charity down! We are thrilled that we have now raised over £3,500 and the money is still coming in!
So....if you want to see the team freefall a whopping 1500 metres in just 30 seconds (it seemed like hours!) before the parachutes opened and we actually started to enjoy it, then take a look at the photos and video on our facebook page, search "Holiday-Inn-London-Shepperton-Charity-Skydive"
Thanks again to everyone who pledged their support to ensure we raised such a fantastic sum of money for Whizz-Kidz.
Our Story, how it started...
We are facing our fears and embarking on our most daring challenge yet to raise as much money as we can for Whizz-Kidz, a fantastic and worthy charity that helps provide disability equipment for children across the UK. Our team of 7 from Holiday Inn London-Shepperton (Camil, Scott, Gillian, Chris, Nikki, Abbie and Danny) will be swapping spreadsheets for parachutes to complete a 10,000ft skydive, so please support us and dig deep to help us reach our target of £3000! We will be jumping in feet first on 26th March 2011, and welcome any donation that you can make.
