Story

My wonderful Dad, Ronan Smith, was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease in 2014 at the age of 56. With strength, dignity and typical generosity of spirit, all while learning to live with this cruel disease, he worked tirelessly as advocate and champion with the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland. He encouraged reform to better support those living with this disease and he raised awareness of the daily struggles that accompany it. Now he is in a home and needs others to continue that work on his behalf. James and I have committed to run this year’s Dublin Marathon in Ronan’s honour and to raise funds for this vital charity that provides dementia specific services and supports across the country as well as advocating for the rights and needs of people living with dementia.

Thank you so much for your support. Every donation – big or small! – is greatly appreciated!

Love Hannah and James xx
