I am taking part in the Aspire channel swim which is over the next 12 weeks, within which you have to swim the length of the English Channel. The objective of this is to raise money for people who suffer from spinal injury - everyday in the UK 4 people develop a spinal injury and at the moment there is no cure. Spinal injuries result in people needing alot of special (expensive) equipment in order to lead a normal life, and the money raised by Aspire helps them to access this.
