Story
Due to the overwhelming generosity of all those that have donated, I have had to keep raising the target !The initial target of £1,000 has now been raised to £4,000. I really appreciate the support you have all shown - Thank you very much!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In case you didn't know, I have challenged myself to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in November 09. My aim is to reach the summit and to raise as much money as I possibly can for Leukaemia Research.
As many of you will know, I lost my mum to Myelodyslastic Syndrome (MDS) this year . This is a fairly rare blood disorder with 4 in 100,000 people diagnosed with this condition every year . Presently there is no cure for this condition and in 30% of cases, the disease progresses to an aggressive form of acute myeloid leukaemia (which is what happened to my mum). Leukaemia Research is the only UK charity that is involved in finding a cure for this disease and my aim is to raise as much money as I can for this worthwhile cause.
I would appreciate any donations that you can make to Leukaemia Research in their aim to support MDS sufferers and help find a cure.
