We send chefs into schools to deliver food education to children

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  This year I shall be walking through Windsor Great Park to support the Academy of Culinary Arts - Chefs Adopt a School project.  The health of our nation's children depends largely on the food available to them. This project aims to introduce children to 'real' food, its provenance, nutrition and the pleasure that eating good food brings and who better to do this than our renowned chefs throughout Britain. This is an educational programme and it is hoped that food and cooking will be included in the national curriculum for children aged five years upwards.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate.

About the charity

The Adopt a School Trust is about improving lives and changing habits. Chefs and hospitality professionals deliver fun and informative food and cookery sessions to children. We teach cooking as a life skill and enthuse children about taste, food provenance and healthy eating.
