My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I suffer for Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) which is a progressive and a very painful form of inflammatory arthritis which affects the spine by causing fusing of the spine which is very painful and also affects hips,neck and the lower and upper body, causing immobility which is very painful and hard to cope day by day without support and medication.

AS can also affect lungs, eyes, bowel and heart.

I have been a sufferer of AS for 12 years and have found it very hard to cope with for day to day.

My personal challenge is to give up smoking after 17 years and by doing this raise awareness and support for Ankylosing Spondylitis sufferers and their families
