I'm running the Paddock Wood Half Marathon on Sunday 11 April and for those who know me, this isn't going to be easy! For someone who usually counts exercise as walking to my car, I'm setting myself quite an ambitious target!

Help For Heroes is a highly deserving charity and one particularly close to my heart. I was born and grew up in Portsmouth where one in every three people you meet is in the forces! So all money raised is likely to benefit someone that I have met at some point in my life. The forces have had a big impact on my life - my dad was in the Navy since the day he left school until he reached the big 5-0! and my twin sister is in the RAF. It's so important to support the people that are putting their lives at risk every day.

This charity means a lot to me and I would be really grateful for any contributions made to help reach my target.

Your donations will go towards making grants that aim to provide practical, direct support for our wounded so please please please give anything that you can, if not simply because the thought of me running a half marathon makes you laugh a little inside!
