Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit "Team Hays" JustGiving Page.
In aid of our new corporate charity partner Action for Children, 60 yes thats right! 60 Hays employees from right across the UK have entered 3 teams into this year's Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday 13th September.
Action for Children exists to help the most vulnerable children and young people to break through injustice, deprivation and inequality. They have been providing specialist support for children and young people affected by poverty, disability, abuse and neglect for almost 140 years! The charity helps nearly 170,00 children, young people and their families through nearly 450 projects across the UK.
Some key facts:
* 50 children are added to the child protection register daily
* 60% of care leavers have less than one GCSE/GNVQ
* 65,000 families with children in the UK have no permanent home
* Every week at least one child dies from abuse or neglect
* Every day one young person commits suicide
Please help us to make a difference and transform a young person's life.
A big shout out to all our colleagues at Hays, friends, family and even the pet dog if he has a credit card to dig deep and help us reach our target.
Being the competitive bunch we promise to breathe fire all over our competition!!
A big thank you for all your support.
