Once again on the 15th May 2010 I will be taking part in the London Moonwalk 2010 with my daughter and friend, alongside 14,999 other ladies . I will be walking a full marathon (26 miles 385 yards) between Saturday night and Sunday morning, starting at around 11.30pm hoping to finish in approx 7-8 hours

In all the years I have been in nursing and NHS management I have cared for many patients , relatives and friends who have been subject to this disease some have survived and some sadley have died. I am doing this walk in the memory of those who we have lost and those who continue to need the support of this charity to survive. 

You may think that this 'walk' is a simple stroll through the streets of London, it is not . It is a real test of fitness and endurance, training for this event commenced on 1st January and by the time we get to Hyde Park myself ,daughter and friend will have walked several hundred miles pounding the streets and treadmill for many hours when we could of been sitting at home taking it easy -much of our time has been given in preparation so we do not let anyone down. 

Online sponsorship is the safest and most efficient method of making a donation as the funds go direct to the sponsors. Any donation received, large, small or huge will be most gratefully received, every penny given will make a difference to someones life.
