Story
On 24 October I will be donning my very old running shoes and taking part in the 'Great South Run' - a 10 mile race taking place in Portsmouth. This will be the first big race I've run since Molly and Alice were born and whilst excited, I am somewhat underprepared compared to my 'old' training regime!
I'm running the race in support of Macmillan Cancer Support - a brilliant charity that provide practical, medical, emotional and financial support for those living with cancer, and push for better cancer care.
In the last few years the number of people I know who have been affected by cancer seems to have grown - both family and friends.
I will be running the race to celebrate those who have survived; in support of those who are still having treatment; and in memory of those who died.
I'm sure everyone has had the same experience and hope you are all able to give a little to such a great charity and help them continue to support those in need.
Thanks
Helen
