Story

Neither Helen nor Paul have run a marathon before, but in a moment of madness they have both entered the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 23rd May 2010!

They are running for the charity CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland).  CHAS provides professional care, practical help and emotional support for children and young people with life limiting medical conditions.

CHAS has 2 Hospices (Rachel House and Robin House).  Rachel House is only 10 miles from Dollar Health Centre (where Helen and Paul work), and several of their patients and families have received care from Rachel House.  For 3 years Paul has worked a half day per week in Rachel House, giving him an opportunity to witness the excellent care provided at the Hospice.  Care from CHAS is provided free of charge to the children and families that need it, but these services require the charity to raise over £5 Million each year.

'We are training hard and have the blisters to prove it!  Any sponsorship will be gratefully received.....and it will help motivate us during those last 26 miles.'
