I met Alice through a friend. She is a nine year old girl with a degenerative chromosome disorder. This means she has difficulty walking and communicating; sometimes she finds it hard to understand and relate to people; and on regular occasions has seizures that can be violent and distressing. But, she also has the biggest smile and kindest heart.

She needs constant support with personal care and medical intervention. Most of this is done by her loving mother and a few hours of respite care a week.
