FINISHED
Well that hurt! Haha... But it was so worth it. To see the look on Dorne's face and everybody else's who came to cheer me on.
I am pleased to announce I completed the 10.5 miles in around six and half hours......And knowing how much support I received spurred me on when I hit several mental walls telling me to stop! : )
I cannot thank you enough for digging deep to not only support Dorne and I, but to raise much needed awareness of diabetes. Dorne managed to muster an article in a couple of local rags too...with embarrassing photos to boot ; )
Thanks again guys. Until next time....

MY STORY
My good friend, Dorne, needs a transplant because of her ongoing battle with diabetes. So, I thought the least I can do is set myself a challenge to try and raise money for the charity that is helping her.
It's been a few years since I've attempted anything on this scale, so anything could happen ha ha! But I'm putting the training in and I'm praying I won't freeze.
It's 10 1/2 miles...of pain I'm sure! So any support will be hugely appreciated by me and of course Dorne and the charity.
It's happening on 5th August....
Thanks a million. Helen x
