Story
Team - Susie Harris, Caroline Price, Andréa Forster and Natacha Payne
Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored us! We had a great day and the weather was on our side, unfortunately the riverside spectators were not - chucking buckets of water and handfuls of flour at us.
The race starts at Cowdray Ruins, Midhurst and finishes 3.75 miles away at , Selham. We managed to stay afloat and not one of us fell in. We got stuck on the fish ladder, with Andréa paddling in the air and completed the course in 2 hours 16 minutes, 3rd (out of 5) in our category.
Needless to say we were shattered at the end of the race and were keen to get warm and dry.
The Rosemary Foundation are a fantastic organisation that offer care to terminally ill patients, suffering not necessarily from cancer but from other chronically debilitating illnesses as well. The cost of running such facilities is unbelievable and they rely heavily on support from fundraising and donations.
So please dig deep and donate now.
