On Friday 26th February, Luke and I will be braving
Bristol's night-time temperatures and weather, in a sponsored sleep-out
to help
raise money for The Crisis Centre.
Together, with up to a hundred other volunteers, we'll be spending the
night
sleeping rough in the grounds of Pip 'n' Jay Church, to highlight the
situation
of the many homeless people in Bristol, and to help raise money for the
charities that support them.
Luke and I are raising money for
Crisis
Centre Ministries a Bristol based charity who offer
a range of
support for
those with 'life-disrupting problems' such as homelessness, addiction
and debt.
The Crisis Centre has been described as a 'life line' by some of it's
users,
and is currently working to
expand
its
services by relocating to a bigger premises, allowing them to work
with and help, even more people. There is a short
four minute video here showing more of what the Crisis Centre do and demonstrating the services they provide.
Your donations will help the Crisis Centre continue their good work, and
will
make our night in the cold worthwhile. Please give generously.
