Story

Wow...

So, we all did it! What an amazing event to be part of. Andy Digweed and Millie Speller ran it together with Andy finishing in 4hrs 10mins and Millie in 4hrs 14mins. Alice and I ran together too, but I said I would run in fancy dress, so chose 'Rufus' the Bear (the JDRF mascot), so took a little longer but crossed the line in 6hrs 29mins! Ben and Sam Adams ran a marathon at the same time in the jungles of Costa Rica, Charlie Leet Cook ran his marathon along the Essex Way, and Rich Goldsmith did his marathon (and more) basically discovering the South of England.

It was a great effort by all and an incredibly emotional day to say the least. Just reading all of the lovely messages shows how much of a popular guy Will was, a true legend.

However, the biggest thanks must go to all of you. There have been over 300 donations which makes a personal thanks to each and every one of you an impossible task, so please accept all of our thanks here. The current total stands at over £18,000 which is a huge amount of money. This will help so many with Type 1 in the future, and hopefully avoid situations like ours. We were so lucky to be part of this awesome event and so incredibly touched by all of your generosity, and truly hope that this will raise awareness as much as possible, and further the research to help others.

A massive thank you again and I will continue to add photos as and when I get them.

Team Will xxx
