Inspired by the (almost) sunshine we have been enjoying in the past few weeks I had the ridiculous idea of entering a Herbert Smith team for the Urban Beach Volleyball tournament, which is taking place in Broadgate Arena on Friday 11th June 2010. I have convinced at least 9 other Herbert Smith lawyers to join in and we are hoping to raise some money for Action for Kids. Our team took part last year and managed to raise over £2,700 as well as winning the crowd's support as everyone's favourite underdogs.

Bearing in mind that none of us really know how to play this sport and the fact that it is to take place on a work day in the middle of the city amongst all our colleagues, friends and other professionals... I think what will ensue is worth a donation or two. Any amount that you are able to donate is welcome.

And for those of you who want to come by and cheer us on / point and laugh please come along on the day. The tournament takes place throughout the day so there will be plenty of opportunities to catch us in action.
