Story

Please help me, Hiba Dahir to raise £8,000 for African Development Trust (ADT). Your Just Giving Page donations will be used to train and create jobs for 15 physically disabled (amputees/disabled) women and men to learn new skills and resources to earn their own income through business start-ups. Workshops will be run by the African Development Trust office in Mogadishu, Somalia for few months. Your support will help me to finance the most vulnerable people in Somalia to generate their own income. If I manage to raise £8,000 each disabled person in this scheme will get £400 interest free loan from your donations to start a business of their own choice. Once they start earning they will be expected to repay $5 a month. All the repaid loans will then let a new disabled person into the scheme. We hope to reach 20-25 people by 2022. Let’s make a difference together!

Your donations will help ensure greater access for people with limb loss due to gun injuries or bomb blasts to live free from charity and finally find independence to fully engage and participate in their community.

Please note that some of the money raised will be used to support people with disabilities to first train as a group to build their confidence so, that they might succeed in their goals. Eventually, ADT support will help them achieve their full potential through job training and small business start-ups to give some of the most vulnerable people Economic Empowerment, instead of begging in the streets.

Thank you for reading this.
