Holly's run the year 2020 challenge

Hollys run the year 2020 challenge · 31 December 2020
My friend Deb was diagnosed with Myeloma 10 years ago (a form of blood cancer). After successfully completing intensive treatment Deb has enjoyed 8 years in remission, however the Myeloma has now returned and this relapse means that Deb has had to restart treatment and will have a second stem cell transplant in 2020. Over the years Deb has already raised over £125,000 for Myeloma UK but as she restarted her treatment Deb set herself a new challenge - to raise £50,000 before she is 50 (in a few years time) and I am going to help.
So this year I will be completing the "Run the Year 2020 Challenge". For this challenge I will be running 2020 miles over the year (this is equivalent to 77.1 marathons or 5.5 miles a day). I know this challenge is going to be hard and will take a lot of early get ups in order to complete alongside studying for my A levels. It will certainly push me in my netball as all running counts!
I really want to raise awareness and raise some money for Myeloma UK. Myeloma is an incurable bone marrow cancer which affects 17,500 people in the UK and accounts for 15% of blood cancers. Treatment often involves chemotherapy and stem cell transfusions. Money raised goes towards research into new treatments and support for those affected by Myeloma, with the hope to find a cure.
Please donate whatever you can to help me and Deb to reach the goal, and if you want to join me on some miles and keep me motivated, please feel free. 👟❤️
