Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Horsforth School's London 2 Paris Just Giving page.
At the start of June Mr Collins, Mr Butler, Ms Stothard and Mr Wood are cycling from London to Paris (about 350 miles), in order to raise money for Project O. This amazing charity helps orphaned children whose parents have died from HIV. Their vision is to see African AIDS orphans fully supported, within extended families or 100% self-sufficient homes where children are nurtured in a safe, caring and loving environment, providing hope and the opportunity to grow and thrive. Year 10 and 11 have elected to support Project O as their 'Charity of the Year'
Many students have fundraised in many imaginative ways, from cake and bun sales, chocolate fountains, raffles, Louis Senior had his legs waxed, sponsored individual events and challenges.
The team I’m going with aims to raise £23,000 to build a new carbon free orphanage. For more information please go to the website www.london2paris2010.org. You can also see the work of Project O ,by logging onto their website http://www.project-o.org
The ride is going to be tough, cycling approx 75 miles each day for four days. Rather than asking you to support individual teachers, we have developed this joint fundraising page.
We really appreciate your help and ask you to consider donating to support us as we cycle, but more importantly, supporting the orphaned children in South Africa, Durban, offering them a brighter future.
Thank you
The Horsforth School Staff Cycle Team
