Story
Ok, so this is the score.
On 30th October I will be flogging my weary body for 26.2miles arount Mnt. Snowdon, for what will be my first and last marathon. Thankfully I will have my brother Matt (who is far better at this running business than me) for company so i'm hoping that i won't be too bad, apart from the distance, the pain and the hills!
I can't think of a real reason why I am doing this, apart from being called 'technically overweight' by my doctor last year. So it was either this or an eating disorder and I like my food far too much.
As I am putting myself through this nonsense I figured that I would have a go at raising a few quid for a good cause. I know that I have left this a bit late but I honestly didn't think that I would actually make it to the start line as I have never been a runner and I have always suffered with dodgy knees.
I am looking to raise money for the children's department @ Arrowe Park hospital. These are the guys who brought both of our boys into the world and look after them so well when they have been really poorly (thankfully not too often). We think that they are great, they are underfunded, and we cannot think of a more worthy cause.
Cheers for any support
Howard
