Background
In 2004, when he turned 50, Bob Holt the CEO of The Mears Group decided to undertake charitable walks in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund. This started in September 2004 when Bob and 40 of his friends spent 2 days walking 25 miles of the Cotswold Way. Over £57,000 was raised for the charity.

In September 2006, Bob undertook the 186 mile long Thames Path Walk, joined by 100 plus colleagues from Mears Group and other organisations, raising over £50,000 for the charity. In 2007 and 2008, Bob again walked the Thames Path, along with Mears Group colleagues and in partnership with Travis Perkins, raising a further £75,000 for the Bobby Moore Fund.

Following the success of these walks Bob decided to form the charity The Footprints Foundation, to support a number of worthwhile causes. In 2009 these charities which FF will support are the Bobby Moore Bowel Cancer Fund, Wooden Spoon, Manacare, Cure Parkinsons - Movers and Shakers, plus a number of others.

Please give generously in the knowledge that all proceeds will go directly to those charities most deserving.
