On August 4th I will be taking part in my first Ironman which will be a huge challenge! I have done several triathlons before but this is a next big step for me. It is something that I have also thought of doing and the chance to train on the Bolton course was too good to turn down. The road has been tough so far but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of my wonderful wife Kate who has been with me all the way. I chose to raise money for Sam as I was deeply moved by his story and wanted to help him on his journey to treatment in America. Please read Sam's story as I'm sure you will be moved too.
