Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Between 5 -13 September 2015 I will be cycling almost 1,000 miles across the UK from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for the establishment of Instant Network Schools for Refugee camps across Africa. With the average stay of a child in a refugee camp being 17 years, we want to do so much more and your contribution will enable more children to have a quality education.

Instant Network Schools is about empowering schools in refugee camps with digital content. Working with the United Nations Refugee Council (UNHCR), existing education providers are being empowered with internet connectivity, tablets and educational content for children and training and resources for teachers. So far 16 Instant Network Schools have been established in Kenya, Congo and South Sudan, benefiting 26,402 children and 500 Teachers.

About the charity

Vodafone Foundation are currently raising funds for their All Together Now campaign, to help more young refugees achieve their dreams through access to quality education, by expanding Instant Network Schools, a joint programme with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
