Education is the most important foundation in the life of any person. SCC has been working in Vietnam since 1992 to try and provide this essential element for hundreds of disadvantaged children each year. SCC offers scholarships for
kindergarten right through to college and university, supporting students throughout. In 2017 alone 1,700 scholarships were provided, eight schools built and two renovated. The difference an educated child can make to their community by breaking the cycle of poverty is immense.

This will be my fifth year cycling for SCC and will take me back to Hue and the Hai Van Pass, where I first rode in 2014. On the last weekend in November we will traverse over 250km along the coast from Hue to Hoi An, via Danang. As is always the case, the riders personally pay for their costs so sponsors and supporters know that all the money pledged goes directly to SCC.
