We provide emergency support to seafarers to give help and hope for crews worldwide

Story

The Mission to Seafarers provides support for seafarers around the world regardless of their  nationality, gender, or religious belief.

Why do seafarers need support?  Here are some basic facts which might surprise you:-

1. About 90% of the world's goods are carried by sea.

2. Seafarers routinely stay at sea for 6 - 12 months at a time and, in that period, come ashore very infrequently.

3. Mental illness is a real issue among the global seafaring community - the suicide rate among seafarers is 3.5 times higher than the rate for most developed nations.
