Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So how did I get myself into this madness, walking a 100KM in under 30 hours on what will probably be a wet summer’s day at the start of June.
Well personally i blame Tim and James it was their idea to start with and i was been queued up to help supporting them but they were short of fools to actual do the event, so after thinking about it over a weekend and speaking to Jen (who thought it was hilarious) i decided to go for it and join the team.
So what is Trailtrekker all about?
Trailwalker began in 1981 as a military training exercise for the elite Queen's Gurkha Signals Regiment in Hong Kong. It has since grown into one of the world's leading team endurance challenges.
With 16 events in 12 countries and counting, Trailwalker is fast becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Globally, the events have raised more than £60 million for Oxfam's valuable work around the world. In 2012 more than 22,000 people collectively walked over 2.2 million kilometres (the same distance as walking around the world 55 times!), becoming great ambassadors for Oxfam's work and aiming to raise over £10 million.
