This year I have set myself the challenge of completing a Channel Relay swim along with 5 other teammates and in the future I hope to be able to complete a solo swim! I chose to raise funds for Diabetes UK as diabetes has affected over 3 million people this year, and by raising both funds and awareness that number will hopefully be reduced in the future thanks to your help.

All money raised goes to the charity Diabetes UK. They are the leading charity in the UK that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes. They fund the research that goes into care, curing & prevention of diabetes. It is thanks to Diabetes UK that treatment for diabetes has advanced incredibly over recent years. A cure may not be far away, and with sufficient funding never impossible.
