Fundraising enables us to provide equal opportunity and make progress towards goals otherwise beyond our reach. Whether that is supporting disadvantaged students to achieve their full potential or financing pioneering health research, your donations mean more than you’ll ever know.

Story

The Long Windy One.  A 4-day challenge to raise awareness for the John Van Geest Centre.  Thursday 21st September at 3:00pm, we will swim 5k in Lake Windermere. Friday 22nd September bike approx. 120 miles from Windermere to Hathersage.  Saturday 23rd September bike approx. 90miles from Hathersage to Nottingham Embankment.Sunday 24th September run the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon

Our chosen charity for this event is the John van Geest Foundation, which focuses on two key approaches to the treatment of patients with cancer:

- Improving the diagnosis and management of breast and prostate cancers

- Developing effective vaccines and immunotherapies that will significantly improve the survival rates and quality of life for cancer sufferers.

Their research depends solely on donations, and as their overheads are covered by Nottingham Trent University, 100% of donations go to life-saving cancer research.
