Birmingham Half Marathon 2010 · 24 October 2010 ·

At times of overseas emergency, the DEC brings together a unique alliance of the UK's aid, corporate, public and broadcasting sectors to rally the nation's compassion, and ensure that funds raised go to DEC agencies best placed to deliver effective and timely relief to people most in need.

Story

Team JHC is entering the Birmingham Half Marathon!  At first we liked the idea of this because we read somewhere that a cake counted as an energy bar, but now the cold realisation has dawned that we'll all have to run 13 miles around Birmingham this October.  Please sponsor us!  Not only will this spur us on around about mile 9 when we begin to wonder why we even thought about getting out of bed, but also EIGHT people will be working for every charity pound you give - think of it as a sixteen-legged organism running 104 miles.

We are running for the DEC Pakistan Floods appeal.  The flooding has left 10 million people without shelter, so please give generously.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
