In September 2008 HOPE is planning another 5 day ‘Bike Ride’, COAST TO COAST, from Biarritz to Narbonne via Lourdes and Carcassonne as one of its landmark events to celebrate the 5th birthday of the charity. So we shall be dipping our toes in the Atlantic, pedalling some 370 plus miles, including some modest inclines in the foothills of the Pyrenees, and finally toe dipping again in the warmer waters of the Mediterranean.

Not only will my ancient legs be more than grateful for your support but also, and much more importantly, the exceptional team of researchers at Leicester University will, I hope, benefit hugely in its endeavours to make more significant breakthroughs against the Lernaean Hydra that is cancer.
