What an opportunity in my fiftieth year to achieve something great for children who haven't had the greatest of starts that everyone deserves...I had a great childhood and I like to think my kids do to, so I hope this will help others.  It's something my Mum & Dad and my children Lucy, Ted and Oli can be proud of. It is a small way to celebrate them. 

In my fiftieth year I want to tick some awesome challenges off the bucket list and this is the first of what I hope are many wonderful experiences. 

I am not known for my sporting prowess so this will really push me to lose weight (15kg/c.3 stone), get fit and achieve what frankly 20 or 30 years ago I would have laughed at. 

Your support will commit me to the training and to the event....no way out! It will be an inspiration to me and I won't let any of you down.
